As a part of the Energy Efficiency Services (EES) team, the Lighting / Electrical Project Manager is responsible for effectively overseeing and performing the construction of one large and/or multiple smaller scale projects. These duties will include managing material and labor to ensure timely and smooth-running project(s). In addition, this role will assist in training Project Supervisors, Project Foremen and Technicians and to set an example of excellence in work and attitude that will favorably affect all personnel on the project. As a leader, we expect you to be customer service focused, "champion" safe work practices and procedures on the job site, have a positive "can do" team attitude, and demonstrate attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple projects. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills, scheduling & planning skills, and budgetary control skills are all critical skills we need on our team! Requirements + Minimum High School Diploma or GED + Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in construction, lighting, or related industries. + Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience of teams/crews + Experience managing a project budget and budget controls + Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) + Valid Driver''s License with clean driving record + Willingness to travel extensively (80%) to project sites for extended periods of time + Ability to tolerate extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical activity in changing work conditions + PMP certification (preferred) About Us PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is a leading provider of innovative energy solutions to electric utilities and their industrial, institutional, and commercial customers.
