System Analyst

TITLE: System AnalystTYPE: Contract to HireLOCATION: 100% Remote (Philadelphia-based company)START DATE: November 2021SHIFT: Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4 pm EST with the flexibility to perform tasks before/after hours.We have an immediate need to hire a System Analyst in our Technology Department. This person will be responsible for providing support for all database-related issues and needs as well as implementing and maintaining the integrity of school software and data systems.Main Responsibilities: Manage the operation, maintenance, and implementation of the in-house student information system (SIS) by regulating user access, ensuring security, confidentiality, and data integrity of student records. Create a variety of reports by extracting records for upper management and vendors for them to analyze. Provide technical support to users with SIS-related inquiries, including students, faculty, and staff. Coordinate and connect data systems to function properly with school software systems. Develop and maintain best practices for the school''s database through routine review. Collaborate with school faculty, staff, and leadership to develop plans for implementing improvements and upgrades for the SIS.Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in related field (Master''s preferred). 6+ years of total IT work/field experience with at least 3 years in an education setting. Experience implementing, maintaining, and managing student information database systems, preferably Blackbaud or Veracross. Experience with reporting and querying SQL and Oracle databases. Experience supporting Windows and MAC environments. Possess strong knowledge of manipulating data into meaningful custom reports for management. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex computer issues to faculty, staff, and students alike.
