Kingsbury, Inc.''s Corporate Division is seeking a full-time Vendor Quality Control Analyst III at their Northeast Philadelphia facility. Kingsbury, Inc. was founded in 1912 and is the leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for all types of rotating machinery, with thousands of installations worldwide. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Gí¶ttingen Germany. Apply to the following link: JOB PURPOSE: Vendor Quality Control Analyst III is to provide guidance and direction for all corporate suppliers. This includes: Evaluating vendors'' operations and products for compliance with company quality standards; Identifying and resolving vendor quality issues through vendor performance management; Assessing potential new vendors and proposed vendor changes; Generating and reviewing vendor quality control plans, audits, metrics, testing, and specifications; Driving vendor performance improvement initiatives; Preparing reports on assessment activities, findings, and outcomes in accordance with Government contracts and Kingsbury policy.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Purchasing to ensure suppliers are providing quality products. Resolve any quality issues in a timely manner Ensure the supplier audit system is maintained and on scheduleConduct on-site supplier audits Collect and analyze nonconforming product from suppliers to trend issues affecting productionWork to resolve any technical issues with suppliers Participate in internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and facilitate assignment and closure of findings Participate on CAPA teams utilizing 8D and other problem-solving methodologies to drive effective corrective and preventive actionsStrong problem-solving skillsSupport process owners in reviews and changes to quality management system documentation including system level procedures and work instructionsMentor and develop quality assurance personnel at all divisions by sharing best practices and industry knowledge in periodic team meetingsCompletes special projects and other duties as assigned.Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as assigned to improve processes companywide.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge and ability to train on methodologies at all levels of the organization Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication Ability to travel when necessaryStrong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Ability to coach, mentor, and energize team members Have the ability to communicate effectively with Suppliers, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing personnelStrong communication skills (both oral and written) Lean Six Sigma, green belt or Black belt preferredJOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor''s degree (B. A.) from four"year college or university; minimum 5 years related Supplier Quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment with a background in Quality Control or Assurance. FARS/DFARS experience preferred.SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Mathematical: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:Performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards and regulations.
