Physician Support SpecialistLocation: Remote or Carlsbad, CAPay: $15 - 16/hrA Medical Supplier, specializing in making it easier for patients living with Diabetes by providing their diabetes testing supplies nationwide. Our highly trained staff and proprietary technology ensures Customer satisfaction with every shipment. The Physician Support Specialist is responsible for initial and on-going communication with doctors and providers to pursue valid prescription orders and/or medical records for patient being serviced with our Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and Pump Supplies in accordance with DMEPOS guidelines. The Physician Support Specialist will work within the scope of responsibilities as dictated below with guidance and support from Customer Care leadership team. PHYSICIAN SUPPORT SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION--Primary Responsibilities, Expected Professional Competencies--Communicate with doctor''s offices by phone, fax, email and/or mail correspondences to pursue prescription orders and/or required medical records to ship a patient orderProvides excellent customer service while communicating with provider offices and teammatesHigh Call Volume per day (approximately 65-100 inbound and outbound calls combined per day)Consistently obtain a high percentage of valid prescription orders based on the number of quality outbound calls attemptedConsistently manages a high percentage of valid prescription orders based on the quantity of quality outbound calls attemptedPromptly responds to provider inquiries and performs follow up calls with high level of urgencyMaintains accurate and detailed records in company databaseReview documents retrieved from inbound faxes to determine validity; scan documents efficiently and accurately (estimated 100 documents per day)Adapts quickly to process changes and improvementsIs reliable, engaged, and provides feedback as to improve processes and policiesAttends all department, team, and weekly company meetings as requiredRequired Education, Training and/or Professional Experience--High School diploma or GED required1-2 year(s) administrative experience preferred1-2 year(s) billing experience preferredExcellent Customer service skills, including phone and inter personal skillsComputer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferredTyping accuracy of 30 wpm minimumDatabase data entry experience preferred.Clear diction and knowledge of the English language, both written and verbalWork history of excellent attendance and punctualityHigh comfort level working with culturally diverse team members and clientsSolid mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionKnowledge of medical terminology preferred; knowledge of orthotics and diabetes a plusSome experience with medical insurance and/or DME a plusLicensure / Certification Requirements--Candidate must successfully pass a background check We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
