Accounting Specialist - mission driven About the Company and the Opportunity: Our client is a non-profit dedicated to at-risk youth in the Portland metro area and seeking an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will report to the Director of Finance who is skilled in nonprofit organizations and has a demonstrated work history of excellent leadership. The Accounting Specialist will assist the accounting department with many of its administrative and clerical duties. Overview of the Accounting Specialist role: Accurately enter data for accounts payable and accounts receivable/cash receipts. Research, track, and resolve accounting issues. Manage ad hoc projects as needed. Perform a variety of administrative assistance as needed. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist: Previous non-profit experience or a desire to work in a mission driven organization Previous experience with accounting software a plus Able to work independently and with a team, both in office and in a virtual environment Sensitive to a cultural/diversity/equity/inclusion environment Please email your resume for immediate consideration.
