Laboratory Assistant I

A Greenhouse Technician role in Durham, NC is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, we are looking to perform plant and seed production activities with commercial crops in a laboratory greenhouse to support plant science research. This is an entry level, minimum 1-year+ contract role starting immediately. Responsibilities Hand watering, fertilizing, and plant maintenance Sampling, transplanting, moving, pollinating, and discarding plants Planting, harvesting, shelling, and counting seeds Assist with data collection and plant performance observations May include weekend and holiday hours Qualifications (Education, Certifications and/or Experience) BS degree or equivalent in agronomy, horticulture or plant science field or an associate degree with 2 years of experience in plant biology (open to recent graduates who have had GH or plant care experience during schooling) Greenhouse experience preferred Ability to perform all physical duties required in a greenhouse under adverse conditions Demonstrated ability and motivation to work in unsupervised situations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commitment and adherence to excellent stewardship practices Ability to use MS office software and other databases efficiently If you are interested in this Greenhouse Technician role in Durham, NC, then please click APPLY NOW.
