Driving RequirementThis position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and individual will be required to drive a City of Austin vehicle. This position requires a Texas Class C Operator''s License or ability to obtain one within 90 calendar days of hire. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin''s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. Performs skilled Carpentry work in City-owned facilities. Operates and maintains various power and hand tools. Installs, repairs, rebuilds, fabricates, replaces City facility structures and amenities. Reads blueprints, specifications and building codes. Records data. Measures using appropriate instruments.
