These ambassadors to education are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to assist the CFO with daily management of the Accounting function. Under the direction of the CFO, the Senior Accountant will have the ability to assume duties typically given to someone at a higher level.The CFO believes in a mentoring environment and employees excel under their leadership. Overview of the Finance Department Head: Oversee day-to-day accounting and cash management operations; organize accounting and other critical company records. Oversee all activities surrounding the receipt, collection and depositing of cash receipts including preparing customer bills and recording payments Oversee all activities relating to accounts payable and vendor management including entering approved bills and processing payments Reconcile all cash, credit card and other Balance Sheet accounts Prepare weekly cash reports, routine financial statements, and budgets at the organization, department and event level Adhere to confidentiality standards and operate within a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk Extensive experience with data entry and record keeping; strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred) COVID-19 vaccine Occasional nights and weekends, as required to accommodate the event schedule Preferred Qualifications for the Finance Department Head: 5+ years'' experience Supervisory experience a plus Ability to think through complex/new situations QuickBooks Online
