DescriptionCardiac Ultrasound Echo for AdventHealth Ocala Location Address: 1500 SW 1st Ave Ocala, Florida 34471 Top Reasons To Work At AdventHealth Ocala Horse Capital of the World Driving distance to Gainesville, St. Augustine, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota Part of the community since 1898, providing healthcare to Marion County for over 120 years Florida Hospital Ocala offers a broad spectrum of services, with programs that are nationally recognized and accredited Spectacular springs throughout the county Work Hours/Shift: PRN; required to help cover the weekend rotation and on call; variable days of the week; on average 1-2 shifts per week You Will Be Responsible For: Checks practitioner orders as to accuracy Checks with offices, floors or physician for order clarification Notifies floor if patient has had Echo with past six months Utilizes all safety measures provided for department and/or individual technologist Always uses two types of patient identifiers (ex: name and DOB) Assures proper positioning, technique, protocol for each exam Obtain complete and current history of patient and reason for exam Performs quality echo and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians Obtains all views required for C-PACS processing Accurate input of notes in C-PACS at completion of exam Accurate input of history notes in PACS at completion of exam Accurate data input in Star at completion of exam QualificationsWhat You Will Need: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of a JCERT approved Cardiovascular program RDCS or RCS BLS Respirator Fit Test Current Strongly Preferred: Pediatric Echo experience Job Summary: This position contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the performance of diagnostic radiology procedures upon request of the licensed practitioner and by participating in departmental monitoring and reporting procedures Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs cardiac and vascular studies on orders of licensed practitioner, performs quality echo and vascular studies, provides accurate and timely computer documentation.
