THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst II in support of Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) Corporate Operations in San Diego, CA . This individual will directly support the Senior Strategy Analysts and will be responsible for investigating/researching various topics that are vital to NIWC strategic initiatives and future, as well as providing various business operations and analysis functions. The candidate''s responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing, supporting, or supervising the following actions: Conduct research and review of multiple sources (government, industry, academia, think-tanks, etc.) to glean information, insights, and trends in support of environmental scans, white papers, and blog entries posted on the NIWC intranet. Conduct quantitative and qualitative research of federal budgetary documents to support senior analysts in their analysis of yearly budget requests. Compile and catalogue information and background material, prepare summaries and bibliographies, and assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, white papers, and VIP information sheets. Disseminate relevant analysis and information to NIWC Pacific technical communities of interest, and in response to specific requests for information from scientists and engineers, as blog entries, point papers, and/or PowerPoint presentations. Provide assessments, insights, and recommendations to senior analysts based on research and analysis conducted in support of specific deliverables. Maintain and update the team''s intranet website, and document & track team accomplishments and highlights. Support strategic planning forums and other meetings with agenda development, action and decision tracking, collection of briefs and presentations, and other logistical requirements. Utilize common proficiency software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Tableau, and Atlassian collaborative tools. Security Clearance Requirements: Must already possess an existing, active SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment. Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: A Bachelor''s degree in a business or technical discipline from an accredited institution. At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience supporting corporate operations functions including research and reporting on various issues or topics related to a Military Command. Experience obtained in a US Navy/DoD environment is highly preferred. Strong technical writing skills. Advanced proficiency with common productivity software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ideally, proficient with Tableau and/or Atlassian collaborative tools. Strong understanding of data visualization techniques, and tailoring views to different audiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
