This position does not offer relocation assistance. Job SummaryDevelop instructional materials and conduct training for the Chemistry or Health Physics training programs. An incumbent at this level should have in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory as well as expertise in the technical area for which he or she is providing training. This level works on the most complex training topics and is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training in the classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job. This level also is responsible for maintaining training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements. This position may be required to become a member of the Station Emergency Response Organization. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Requirements for Senior Instructor (Nuclear) 12 + years of related experience OR; Certified Instructor (including 5+ years of experience) OR; RO or SRO (including 5+ years of experience) OR; Sr Instructor Training Cert from Dominion (including 5+ years of experience) Requirements for Senior Instructor 5 - 6 years of nuclear, industrial or military experience with full competency in skills related to Health Physics Requirements for both: Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good Problem solving skills Good time management skills Good personal computer skills Ability to competently use all software applications critical to the target audience Ability to present material in an understandable way to large and small groups Ability to analyze and organize information and develop training programs and classes Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment used by the target audience Ability to lead and coach Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop answers In depth knowledge of instructional theory and design and SAT. Excellent verbal and written communication, good personal computer, operate various instrumentation and controls, problem solving. Abilities: Analyze and develop training materials, train and lead others, interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers, informal leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate with regulators. Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Electronics, Chemistry, Physics or Instrumentation) preferred. An equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
