Further information is available at POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for managing and coordinating all activities associated with the Materials department on our first (1st) shift. Responsibilities include receiving, shipping, shop floor, planning and all Point of Use locations. The Materials Supervisor will improve the department and themselves through training and continual learning. WHAT YOU WILL DO:Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes.Responsible for driving continuous improvement, in the supply base in support of business objectives by supervising the materials department team and conducting and participating in daily toolbox meetings.Responsible for maintaining knowledge of materials and informing the department of new developments as well as ensuring all departments effected by any changes are made aware.Supervising your team in key areas such as: Manage holiday schedules, Kronos reporting (time and attendance), vacation schedule, plan overtime if required.Responsible for your team ensuring discrete job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of 500 series requirements and accuracy of reject requirements.Ensures the team assist in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines and tools to ensure success in all the processes.Be the constant driver of the reduction of inventory adjustments by monitoring reason codes. Monitor team, measure and meet all materials measurements.Monitor team and coordinate material from bowling alley to POU location by requirement date. Motivates shipping team on picking open IR''s to ship within 24 hours. Responsible for ensuring the MRP and MRB processes are being followed by your team. Monitor and maintain the accuracy of Live Bus records.Ensure compliance to ISO procedures, work instructions, 5P''s and promote continuous improvement within the department.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Two to four years previous warehouse maintenance, shipping and receiving or inventory control experienceOne to two years previous supervisor experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environmentAbility to communicate, establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organizationPositive attitude with a willingness to accept challenges in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills, detail oriented, and a self-starter that is motivated to achieve tasks within set timelinesAPICS Certification or currently enrolled in APICS program and asset*Some travel is required for this position*New Flyer is an EEO/AAP/Female/Minority/Disabled/Vets Employer WHY JOIN OUR TEAM:Competitive wages.COVID-19 Precaution(s): Personal protective equipment provided or required.
