Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an HR Coordinator to work in our Millsdale Manufacturing facility located in Elwood, IL, a southern suburb of Chicago. The successful candidate will have initiative and be responsible for providing support to the HR department and overall This Role You Will:Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics by answering questions and providing informationDevelop, assists, or prepare correspondence as requested and continuously improve communication cadence for sitePrepare and communicate site announcements including but not limited to: birth, funeral, promotions, new hires and retirementsPerform HRIS transactions and maintains system recordsProvide administrative support, record keeping, reporting, file maintenance, and clerical support as directedConduct audits and follow company''s record keeping requirementsCreate, update, and maintain department metrics dashboard(s)Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate new hire orientation processEnter transactions, run, and analyze reports, identify and report system Ensure appropriate documentation has been received (e.g. resignation, discipline, termination letter) and employee files/records are handled according to procedureabnormalities to the appropriate area for correctionHandle coordination of HR related tasks and other offboarding activities as neededConduct in-person Exit Interviews and prepares site reports using feedback from employeesResponsible for executing the employee leave process for the site (e.g. FMLA, STD, LTD) working with TPA system and Total Rewards department to ensure smoothtransitionsSupport H & S department on RTW process including Fitness for Duty assessments and ADA accommodationsReinforce company policies, rules, and proceduresPerform special duties or projects, as needed, to assist the siteQualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in Human ResourcesAbility to act with integrity and professionalism, and maintain confidentialityGood time management, organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to work on and complete multiple tasks with zero to minimum errorsExcellent communication skills including listening, speaking, and writingResourcefulnessEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentLI-NK1Established in 1932, Stepan Company is a major manufacturer of basic and intermediate chemicals including surfactants, polymers, as well as specialty ingredients that go into consumer, household, and institutional products such as laundry detergents, shampoos, and surface cleaners.
