We''re seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team! As an Accountant, you will administer accounts payable and payroll accounting functions, prepare monthly journal entries, and work closely with outside vendors. This is an exciting time to join, as our accounts payable processes are being transferred to an outside vendor and you''ll play a key role in making it a success! You''ll help drive an effective transition and provide continued vendor relationship management. Additionally, you''ll perform account reconciliations, compile data, prepare reports, and keep management informed of pertinent issues. This position is primarily remote with limited in-office support. Qualifications Bachelor''s Degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance; or additional equivalent experience At least one year of experience in accounting or finance, including internships Understanding of accounting theory and knowledge of accounting functions, including General Ledger, and related internal controls; Working knowledge of US GAAP Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, customers, and others utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to build and manage effective relationships with vendors to ensure accurate and timely services are provided Ability to proactively and independently problem solve to achieve timely resolution of matters Detail oriented with adept time management, organization and prioritization skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency Accounting software experience, ERP and non-profit preferred Benefits Paid medical, dental, and vision employee benefits Paid basic life & accident insurance and short- & long-term disability Paid internal training and career development 7 paid holidays and generous time off 401(k) retirement savings plan 24-hour Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) that provides resources for everything from mental health to pet insurance and financial counselling Satisfies employment requirement for student loan Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PLSF)
