Speech Therapist

A Southern California Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking experienced Speech Therapists to join their growing nonprofit organization.The Speech Therapists will report to the Director of Rehabilitation and will provide hands-on care to patients in an outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic.The Rehab Clinic is looking for a Registered Speech Therapist who can evaluate and treat disorders involving speech, language, cognition, swallowing, and social communication. The Speech Therapist should be able to:Develop individualized therapy programs for each patient.Asses patient treatment plete and maintain records of speech pathology, observations, and treatments.Direct activities to promote and maintain health within the scope of practice.Identify need and make referrals.The Speech Therapist will help to define departmental goals and promote positive relations between patients and employees. While, it is crucial that the therapists adopt the organization''s mission statement, the Speech therapist will work autonomously under little supervision for the majority of the time.Responsibilities of this experienced Speech Language Therapist include patient evaluation of speech, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing disorders as well as the planning of various therapy programs designed for specific disorders. Organizing and maintaining patient records, patient and staff education, and physician communication are also important functions of the Rehab Clinic Speech Therapist.The Neurological Rehabilitation Speech Therapist will work with a hands on multidisciplinary team, treating patients suffering from a variety of Brain Injuries and Neurological impairments, including: Traumatic Brain Injuries, Stroke, Mild Brain Injury and Post Covid 19 Brian Injury.The Rehabilitation Clinic is prepared to offer a generous salary, with a comprehensive benefit package, paid time off, 401k and potential relocation assistance.
