Manager of Laboratory

A 49-bed non profit Critical Access Hospital is seeking a Manager of Laboratory services. This facility is located in Northern Oregon and has been Proudly providing care for more than 100 years and has a level IV trauma center. This campus has received the award for the best median Door to CT time in the network, and is continually recognized for their charitable actions.The Manager of Laboratory is responsible for the daily operations including technical work flow, patient service centers, and off-site locations. The Laboratory Manager will consult with pathologists to ensure quality standards are being met, and implement new processes to improve work-flow throughout the department. The Manager of Laboratory will identify information needs and problems and recommend improvements for the unit. The Laboratory Manager will participate in hiring, and staffing needs for the unit and evaluate team performance. The Lab Manager will lead the team and be hands on in the day-to-day work applying there medical technologist experience The ideal candidate is someone who has managerial experience, RN or CLS active license, and is eager to lead a new team.This facility is located in a beautiful part of Oregon that is minutes away from the Blue Mountains and Columbia River where many outdoor activities can be enjoyed.
