Responsibilities Eligible for up to $2500 Sign-On BonusPrep Cook Performs a range of duties related to food production and service. Works with various types of diets in hotand cold food areas using a variety of foodservice equipment. Uses standardized recipes and productionguidelines in preparing foods. Checks raw foods for quality prior to preparation and uses sanitarytechniques in preparing, serving and storing foods.1. Food preparation:a. Uses computer to obtain food production sheets to determine the kind and amount of foods to prepare.b. Schedules production so foods are available at the time needed.c. Follows recipes and product instructions to assure uniform quality and sanitation standards are met.d. Washes and culls ingredients before use. Pays special attention to ingredients which may harbor dirt or bacteria.c. Handles, prepares, and stores all food items in compliance with HACCP & Local County Health Department codes and guidelines.e. Ensures all leftovers are stored properly; used within the time specified, or are properly disposed of if not used.f. Correctly uses cutting boards and equipment to ensure safety and no cross-contamination.g. Assists cooks, patient meal service, catering and cafeteria as needed.2. Sanitation:a. Cleans and sanitizes refrigerators, work tables, sink, carts, etc. after each use and as per cleaning schedule.b. Follows standards and instructions to ensure quality and sanitation standards are met.c. Washes hands in accordance with sanitation codes.d. Any other reasonable duty assigned by the management team.
