Electrical Components Engineer

US CITIZEN Job Description: Client Space and Airborne Systems segment seeks an experienced component engineer to join our growing team. The person in this position will be responsible for supporting our Palm Bay, FL location in the development of space payloads and communication devices. This includes all phases of product development from advanced research and development thru design and on to production support and on-orbit anomaly resolution. Tasks will include development of component requirements, EEE parts selection, addressing obsolescence issues and working closely with design engineering, supply chain, quality, Space Environments, and reliability. Essential Functions: Develop requirements and qualification test plans, thru customer approval, for non-standard Parts, Materials, and Processes (ie. PARs, MAR''s, PMPCB approval). Support component selection and requirements for advanced development and technologies. Develop part specifications (eg. SCD''s, PID''s) Assist design engineering in selecting appropriate parts based on mission requirements Resolve supplier issues in cooperation with quality and supply chain. Provide support to subcontractors for all PMP concerns Knowledge of space level requirements for components Address obsolescence with forward looking plans and mitigation. Work closely with reliability and space environments personnel to assure mission success. Comfortable presenting plans and results to Customers and Senior Management Occasional travel to ensure part manufacturer compliance and completion of part inspection where applicable. This is only if the contractor is able travel and is not a dealbreaker. It would be for 1-2 days at a supplier potentially out of state. Qualifications: BS Degree in EE, or similar technical field 4+ years of experience (1+ with MS degree) in components engineering 4+ years of experience in aerospace Ability to obtain a security clearance Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in aerospace and/or space environments Experience in failure analysis/RCCA Experience in Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) In depth knowledge in one or more component families (Hybrids, Microcircuits, Semiconductors, Oscillators, Passive devices, etc.) Experience in reliability developing FMEAs, ESA''s, etc. Experience participating in PMPCB reviews, including preparation and presentation of approval requests for non-standard parts Knowledge/use of Microsoft Office Applications Able to present results and communicate with Customers, Consultants, and Senior Management r Management Nesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
