What are the Benefits of working for ECC? • Work on up to 10 different projects at a time • Variety of tasks • Tap into your creativity using different chemistry • Simplify formulas for the raw material side of the business • Demonstrate the company''s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. • Excellent benefit packages Chemist Responsibilities: • Test and create formulas and apply them to various customer substrates and materials • Develop formulations to meet customer requirements • Test formulas and apply to materials to measure quality under a variety of environmental conditions • Perform bonding tests on materials such as cotton, polyester, blend, silks, plastics, PP, PET, PTFE, leather, etc. • Compile test results and analyze patterns through the data in order to place the product into the trial phase. • Reach out to suppliers to understand the makeup of their materials (Senior Chemist) • Acquire supplies for the lab including raw materials for the formulas or lab equipment, machines and fabrics (Senior Chemist) • Supervise others in the department (Senior Chemist) Physical Requirements • Be able to stand for up to 8 hours • Be able to life and load materials up to 50 pounds • May be occasionally exposed to mechanical hazards, explosives, along with other health or safety conditions • May be occasionally exposed to plant conditions such as dust, noise, fumes, odors and other environmental conditions.
