Medical Surgical Nurse Director

A critical access hospital in Eastern Texas is now seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse Director to join their team! This is a great opportunity for the medical surgical nurse leader to take the next step in their career.This 25-bed critical access facility is a part of a large, leading healthcare organization, and offers a range of medical services to patients in the surrounding community, including: 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, trauma services, and overnight inpatient care. This hospital is a designated trauma center, is accredited by The Joint Commission, and recently expanded its services within the past couple of years.As an integral member of the hospital leadership team, the Medical Surgical Nurse Director will be responsible for oversight of all inpatient areas within the facility. The Medical Surgical Nurse Director will manage RN staff, as well as techs, CNAs, and ancillary staff, therefore a background in nursing leadership is highly desirable. The Med-Surg Director will work collaboratively with other RN managers and directors to facilitate patient flow and ensure delivery of high quality patient care. Additionally, the RN Director of Medical Surgical will on-board and train new staff as well as providing continuing education and skills refreshers to current staff.
