Rate & Contract Management Manager

Your tasks Oversees Master data management at the regional level Tasks & Responsibilities: Manage regional ocean and air master data for completeness, quality, alignment, optimization (customers, vendors, schedules, departments, events, etc)Manage rate and contract data bases (charge code complexity, rate completeness and correctness)Responsible for leading and developing the Rate and Contract Management Maintenance TeamDevelop SME for key Master Data (e.g. schedules) to support and enable optimized system functionalityImplement, maintain, and contribute to globally aligned RCM and MDM maintenance processes for ocean and air, including SOPsVetting, validation, and solution design review of all system change proposals directly related to RCM or MDM and provide regional prioritization.Develop business analytics for Ocean and Air to drive higher utilization and accuracy of maintained ratesManage and define how rates and charges will be maintained for higher utilization, accuracy, and alignment with operating systems.Conduct regular quality audits for rates and master data maintained at regional/country levelInvestigate and resolve rate/tariff issues and steer rate/tariff clean-up activitiesCoordinate and support training for RCM and MDM processes; sign-off user guidesAuthor and/or conduct final quality review and sign-off of RCM and MDM change proposalsCollaboration with IT and Business stakeholders in the area of RCM and MDMCoordination of UAT (user acceptance testing) for RCM and MDM Requirements Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills The role requires an individual who has finished studies in the area of logistics and/or several years of working experience in the ocean or airfreight forwarding business.Solid understanding of ocean and airfreight forwarding, rating, quoting, and master dataExperienced in Rate & Tariff Management, Data Analytics and Project ManagementDeep understanding of RCM, TANGO, and other regional processes that utilize rates and contractsStrong analytical and conceptual capabilitiesAttention to details and strong organizational skillsExperienced in analyzing and documenting business master data, rate, quote, and charge requirementsStrong communication and collaboration skills as the role requires frequent communication with various management levelsStrong leadership skillsQuality and efficiency driven work styleAbility to work independently as well as with the local, regional, and global teamsFluent in Business English (spoken and written) Benefits MedicalWe offer a number of plans for a variety of health care services and supplies, including preventative care, inpatient and outpatient services and prescription drugs.VisionThe option for separate vision coverage for eye exams, frames, and contact lenses.DentalThe option for separate dental coverage to cover preventative major and basic dental services.401(k)The company offers a pre-tax 401(k) contribution plan with a company match.Direct DepositWe offer direct deposit to all employees.HolidaysOn a calendar year basis, the Company pays all employees 6 major holidays, including New Year''s Days, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, plus 4 floating holidays.
