The job duties and responsibilities of the Controller include but are not limited to: (1) Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship, and profitability. (2) Responsibility to manage the entire division''s accounting and financial reporting, as well as being a key contributor in developing and executing the strategic direction of the division and product group. (3) Leadership role in managing human resources, information systems, purchasing-related activities, and credit. (4) Leadership role for protecting Nucor''s assets through risk-management activities and maintaining an appropriate internal control structure. (5) Be a key business partner to the commercial, operations, and maintenance teams and help facilitate continuous improvement across the facility. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Prior Leadership and Supervisory experience. Bachelor''s Degree in a finance related discipline. Minimum of 5 years work experience in financial-related positions. Preferred Qualifications: CPA or MBA. Willing to relocate for future opportunities and/or needs within Nucor. Prior experience with/knowledge of labor laws.
