The principal functions of the Portfolio Manager are to (1) continuously monitor and assess the credit profiles of the customers in her/his assigned portfolio; (2) help retain customer relationships by providing exceptional service; (3) assist with routine issues such as overdrafts, wires, new account openings, etc.; (4) ensure that renewals, extensions and annual reviews are completed in a timely manner; (5) seek ways to enhance customer profitability by continuously looking for cross-sell opportunities; 6) replace runoff and amortization in the portfolio by selling deeper into the book of business and 7) continuously seek referral opportunities from current customers and centers of influence.Responsibilities:Portfolio ManagementManages moderately large relationships (credits, deposits, and fee based products/services) that require more complex analysisPerforms or initiates account/loan maintenance as requiredActs as liaison for customer inquiries, issues account instructions; redirects questions and requests as necessary if issues relate to other departmentsEnsures accuracy of information, data, and documentation for all portfolio accountsActively participates in customer meetings to further the relationship and expand business opportunitiesCredit ManagementFor new and renewing loan requests, determines borrower credit-worthiness in accordance with credit policy and manages the request through the appropriate underwriting and closing processesEnsures that loan transactions are properly documented Conducts continuous review and administration of loansManages enterprise risk for products and services, including depository services and Treasury Management productsReports credit risk issues in a timely mannerBusiness DevelopmentProactively reviews existing relationships for product penetration and calls on opportunities (loans, deposits, fees and non-credit products and services); issue proposals as appropriateIdentifies and refers business opportunities to internal product partners and other target market business linesIncreasingly seeks out referrals from existing customers and COI''sQualifications:Education RequirementsBachelor''s DegreeMinimum ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending as a credit analyst, underwriting specialist, portfolio manager, or relationship manager with exposure to complex customers such as C&I and/ CRE transactionsKnowledge/ Skills/ AbilitiesSolid knowledge of financial lending regulationsStrong knowledge of credit philosophy and policies as well as loan documentationStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as analytic and problem solving skillsIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook (e.g. create templates, complete mail merges, insert and edit charts, create basic formulas, create queries)Job Details:Regular
