Preventative Maintenance Technician

Description Securitas Electronic Security (SES) continues to experience tremendous success and we currently are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals to join the SES'' Technician Development Program. The program is designed to provide an expedited career path to becoming an electronic security Service Technician. In this multi-year development program, you will be provided with the training and mentorship needed to learn the basics of electronic security systems by performing preventative maintenance and inspections of intrusion, video, access control fire and integrated systems. After mastering preventative maintenance, the individual will be provided the hands-on training and mentorship needed to expand their skillset and learn how to complete service repair and programming of electronic security equipment. SES'' security solutions include product and service outsourcing that integrate cross-disciplinary functions into comprehensive technology-centered customer solutions on a cloud-based platform spanning hardware and software capabilities.Essential Functions:Perform preventative maintenance on intrusion, video, access control, fire and integrated systems including but not limited to:Test, inspect and clean all equipment Inspect, test & replace wireless batteriesInspect, test & replace & replacing control panel batteriesEnsure all access control devices are working properlyTest & inspect all intrusion points Test communication and backup signalsTest & inspect vaults, safes and ATMsTest, inspect and clean DVRs and video devicesClean & focus video camerasDocument inspections and completing checklists for each preventative maintenance callEnsure all points have been tested and restoredVerify all alarm signals have been received Contacting customer to schedule calls and to provide estimated time of arrivalEscalating problems when appropriate & communicate serious problems to appropriate team membersAccurately report preventative maintenance service ticket dataInteract in a professional manner with customers to foster positive customer relationsMaintain effective communication with mentors and team-membersDevelop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and proceduresOrganize and manage truck stock parts and toolsAttend training courses in-person and virtuallyComplete weekly status reports, evaluations and testingAdditional duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree, basic electronics, low voltage electronics certifications or background preferred Minimum Requirements High school degree or equivalentBasic understanding of low voltage electronicsAbility to communicate effectively to internal and external partiesBasic computers skills including using a computer, Excel, Outlook, completing virtual forms, etc.Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail requiredUse of tact, ordinary courtesy, and work in team environmentAble to stand most of the day, occasionally lift heavy loads, and work long hoursShift adaptability and work in adverse exposure to elementsSecuritas Electronic Security is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
