SOLitude Lake Management - a proud member of the Rentokil family of companies - provides aquatic management services to lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and wetlands. SOLitude offers a wide variety of services including fishery programs, algae and aquatic weed control, mechanical harvesting/hydro-raking, installation/maintenance of fountains and aeration systems, and water quality testing. ResponsibilitiesWhat do our Mechanical Specialists do?The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Specialist is to participate in onwater mechanical management operations in a manner that meets company/client expectations and regulatory compliance. This team member fosters the SOLitude culture, value, and service performance standards.Job Responsibilities:Aid in the mobilization/demobilization of all equipment Assist in the staging of environmental control measures per permit requirementsOperate SOLitude machinery effectively - primarily small watercraft, aquatic weed harvester and aquatic hydro rake. Log all appropriate information regarding mechanical projects in log book - date, project, material collected, loads, etc. Discuss project successes/failures with Project Coordinator for future planningSupport the Mechanical Division with maintaining/fixing equipment in a group settingLog all work performed on mechanical machinery in the affiliated log bookCollect and return all company receipts in an organized fashionTravel and lodge at various locations, project specificAbility to trailer and tow mechanical equipment. What do you need?High school diploma or GED1-2+ years in the mechanical application fieldComfortable with on-water equipment applicationsMechanically inclinedAbility to travel as neededComplete licensing/certification programs as necessary (OSHA 10, Hoisting, etc.)The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach and feel. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnHave proficient writing and verbal skillsBe comfortable working at heightsAvailable to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as neededAbility to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulationsMust pass pre-employment background screen and drug testValid driver''s license/clean driving recordWhy Choose Rentokil?
