Medical Surgical Nurse Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has just become available for the Medical Surgical Nurse Supervisor in Central Texas! This hospital is seeking an energetic and experienced med-surg nurse leader to join their outstanding team.The Medical Surgical Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for leading the med-surg unit team of RNs, techs, CNAs, and ancillary staff on this busy inpatient acute care unit. The Nurse Supervisor of Med-Surg will coordinate staffing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing for the unit, and will report directly to the Med-Surg Nurse Manager and Nurse Director. The Medical Surgical Nurse Supervisor will provide their strong hands-on leadership skills, stepping in to assist with patient care as needed. The Nurse Supervisor will also be responsible for coordinating patient flow between the med-surg unit and other units, working closely with the House Supervisor to ensure appropriate patient placement.The Medical Surgical Nurse Supervisor role is RN and BSN required. CMSRN certification is highly desirable. 5+ years of related acute care clinical experience is also required.This 200+ bed hospital proudly serves the surrounding communities, offering a range of medical services to include 24-hour emergency care, cardiovascular services, neurosciences, orthopedic surgery and services, physical therapy, rehabilitation services, wound care, radiology and diagnostic imaging, and inpatient perioperative services. This facility also houses a 15+ bed Intensive Care Unit and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
