Remote Inpatient Medical Coder

PrideHealth is hiring a Remote Inpatient Medical Coder to support our client''s healthcare system in San Diego, CA. JOB SUMMARY Under general direction of the Coding Manager, and according to established procedures, this position codes diagnosis and procedures for assigned cases.Assigns the appropriate ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS codes to the highest level of specificity for appropriate assignment of the DRG and all applicable CPT and/or HCPCS codes for the appropriate APC levels for patient accounts and abstracts all coded data into abstracting information system for patients receiving services.Responsible for data entry into electronic databases for use in the assessing quality of patient care, outcome analysis, and financial management.QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of coding experience with inpatient and/or observation coding and charging.Must have one of the following certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CCS.Knowledge of EPIC and 3M 360 preferred.Apply today!
