They are hiring for a Sr. Property Accounting Manager. • This is an exciting time to join this growing company.• The firm has been consistently recognized for its award-winning projects and successful track record of transforming spaces and enhancing communities. • They offer excellent benefits, including: medical, dental, and vision, 401k matched, unlimited PTO, in-house chef (free lunch), work/life balance, and positive environmentOverview of the Sr. Property Accounting Manager role:• The Senior Manager-Project Accounting will be a player/coach managing a team of two senior project accountants and performing complete, full-cycle construction and project accounting for assigned construction projects. • The ideal candidate will have deep experience in construction accounting, including a strong familiarity with contract management, title company relationships, lien waiver requirements, and sworn owners'' statements. • Oversee and manage a two-person team.• Manage project reporting including MBE reporting.• Perform contract administration for assigned construction projects.• Assist in preparing project budgets.• Analyze and report upon actual-to-budget variances.• Monitor insurance and waiver compliance for subcontracts.• Draft waivers to accompany pay applications.• Process change orders - internal and subcontract - associated with assigned jobs• Process invoices for payment.• Provide monthly job cost reports to project managers and senior management.• Interact with tenants and general contractors to manage TI projects.• Lead process redesign and technology implementation projects.Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. Property Accounting Manager:• Bachelor''s degree in accounting or related field• 7+ years of construction accounting experience• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel• Knowledge of MBE tracking software is a plus• Exposure to automated payables systems (Avid, Yardi Payscan) a plus• Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate well verbally and in writing with all field and office team members, subcontractors and owner representatives.• High attention to detail, deadline-oriented, excellent time-management and interpersonal skills• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work under tight time lines
