Hotel Accountant Our client, a leading real estate company based in Chicago, is searching to add an accountant to their growing team. Sizzle: One of the largest commercial real estate companies in the Chicago land area Company prides itself on promoting people from within, wants employees to continue to feel the satisfaction that comes with personal growth Offers competitive salaries and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a tuition reimbursement plan, a 401K program, and flexible spending accounts Great work life balance Causal Fridays in the office (jeans) Top Responsibilities: Prepare/review financial statements Perform/review period-end close and reporting process File/report sales tax for multiple entities Prepare/review year-end audit and work with internal tax preparer on tax returns for multiple properties Maintain fixed assets software and related journal entries Prepare journal entries for significant transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions and financings Prepare/review tenant escalation/reconciliation files for billing Management of owner capital accounts including contributions and distributions Review and assist with budget preparation Experience Preferred: Bachelors is Accounting 3-5 years of hotel accounting experience Real Estate (Commercial or Residential) experience as is a plus Knowledge of Sage 300/Timberline software is a plus
