Absolutely!Working in the Global Lab Support organization, under minimal supervision, repair and verify complex test equipment used in the laboratories for conformance to established government, commercial and organization standards. When necessary, manage the repairs using outside vendors by obtaining quotes, scheduling and managing the activity. Plan and carry out preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment up time. Schedule and perform IEC and ASTM Oven and chamber verifications, including multipoint temperature and humidity uniformity mapping, measuring thermal lag and air changes as needed, using the appropriate test equipment, recording the results and maintaining the verification records to meet our accreditation requirements.Formulates and completes preventative maintenance plans for laboratory ovens, chambers and other test equipment as necessary.Troubleshooting of computerized test systems.Maintaining records of repair and maintenance in the appropriate systems.Using good communication skills to keep inside stakeholders apprised of status.Provide support to our test labs, helping them meet our customer commitments.Provide support to other lab support responsibilities related to calibration, fixture construction and automation.Collaboratively work with global peers on standardization of tegrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.Performs other duties as directed.Two-year technician degree or prior mechanical experienceSelf-starterGood organizational skillsBasic electronics skillsGood mechanical skillsGood computer troubleshooting skillsFamiliar with power analyzers and DAQ instruments a plusFamiliar with the operation of laboratory environmental chambers and ovens a plus.
