The successful candidate will be able to partner with business leaders to develop and refine their IT strategy, navigate the IT organization to successfully deliver technology projects, and support the successful completion of their critical technology-dependent goals.WHAT YOU''LL DOThe Sr. IT Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for:Managing the IT portfolio within Abbott''s IT organization (Business Technology Services) with leaders from Abbott Quality and Regulatory, Corporate Engineering (including Corporate Environmental Health and Safety), and Global Security, developing and maintaining comprehensive Application Lifecycle roadmaps, expertise on the applications, and prioritization of projects and demand.Supporting the development and execution of the business IT strategy through successful, consistent, and predictable delivery of programs, projects, and applications.Understanding the core business processes across the organizations, developing an understanding existing and emerging technologies supporting these processes and an awareness of relevant regulations that impact technology.Aligning resources and priorities within BTS and the business organizations to ensure successful delivery against corporate goals and obligations.Developing IT Capital and Expense financial projections, planning, and oversight for the relevant IT portfolio. Partnering with business leaders to eliminate redundant systems and automate manual operations, while implementing consistent best practices.Resolving issues raised to the governance committees of projects and ensure projects stay in scope.Acting as a champion for change and technology innovation with business partners, influencing stakeholders and partners towards successful implementation of IT projects.Collaborating with BTS teams and key IT staff from other Abbott divisions to support cross-divisional business initiatives and explore IT synergies and efficiencies.Managing conflict, prioritizing efforts, and negotiating through differences between business partners and other IT stakeholders.Core Job ResponsibilitiesProject Financial Tracking: Track spending on internally funded projects, ensuring that projected spending matches charged amounts.Capacity/Resource Management: Execute quarterly "pre-demand" process, yearly demand planning activities in coordination with the BTS resource capacity teamDemand Management Council: Manage the intake process, stakeholder feedback, and quarterly demand review with senior leadership.Portfolio Management & Delivery Management: Facilitate approvals during the project intake process, project estimate reviews, delivery activities and issue escalation associated with project requests and delivery.Business Governance: Conduct regular strategic partnership meetings with business leaders, maintain Business Relationship Plans and a robust engagement strategy.Customer Focus: Serve as the primary point of contact to the business for BTS enterprise initiatives, facilitate communications with business customers, and gather input on customer feedback.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU''LL BRINGBachelor''s degree in computer science, business administration or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.10+ years in Business Relationship or IT Project ManagementPREFERRED5 to 7 Years of experience with quality regulated and/or engineering applicationsKnowledgeable of regulations relevant to IT systems such as EU MDR/IVDR and EUDAMEDFamiliarity with Amazon Redshift, TrackWise, Maximo and other technology platforms supporting the quality and regulatory, engineering, and physical security business areas.WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
