Job Description

Purpose of the Position: The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring food safety, HACCP, FDA, and CCOFcompliance while ensuring production''s ability to operate smoothly while producing quality products for our customer.Essential Functions:Verify food safety documentation and audit for accuracy, completeness and deviations that may need correctiveaction. Maintain QA dashboards, verifying accuracy of data. Review and analyze QA data in conjunction with QA Manager . Represent Quality team in the decision making process with Operations. Ensuring sanitation standards are met through ATP and visual checks, oversee compliance of cleanupprocedures as necessary. Assist in training of food production and distribution team members on quality related functions (HACCP, foodsafety, etc.). Demonstrate competency to interpret, implement, and maintain HACCP based food safety plans and documents. Report problems or inconsistencies with any procedures to GM and QA Lead, involving QA Manager asnecessary. Work alongside operations to report claims on damaged/non-conforming product. Take accurate notes regarding all quality issues identified within the facility, identifying root causes andpreventative measures. Work with team leaders throughout shift to determine where QA assistance is needed. Provide QA support for production related questions and/or quality troubleshooting. Monitor operational readiness for each shift, assigning corrective actions(s) as needed for deviations. Perform routine sample collection and results tracking. Participate in weekly interdepartmental produce evaluation. Participate in internal audits to ensure all food safety and organic status procedures are being followed. Provide support during audits and regulatory visits (HACCP, CCOF, FDA, local ordinances, etc). Identify properly and resolve all non-conformance items, ensuring proper quality hold procedures and processdocumentation. Complete daily thermometer calibration checks against NIST thermometer.
