Logistics Cost Analyst

We provide water and waste management solutions that enable cities and industries optimize their resource management and strengthen their environmental and economic performances.Role Summary/Purpose:The NAM Staff Logistics Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all financial transactions relating to freight, distribution and warehouse facilities for the CMS businesses. This role will ensure all logistics costs are accurately reflected and partner with the operations team to drive cost out initiatives (VCP/BCP/DMP). This includes closing activities, variance analysis, forecasting/reporting, PP&E and account reconciliations. In addition, this position should provide strategic guidance to Operations for the V1/V3 cycle, financial decision-making, and controllership related issues.This role requires cross-functional engagement, strong organizational, presentation and leadership skills, and an ability to understand and analyse complex accounting, finance, and operational processes.Essential Responsibilities:• Ensure timely and accurate freight uploads from 3rd party providers and balance sheet clearing• Support freight/logistics'' closing activities, variance analysis and reporting• Conduct internal control/process reviews using knowledge of applicable statutory and IFRS reporting requirements; prepare/review account reconciliations• Partner with the operating leaders to drive the development of annual operating plans and estimates (V1/V3 cycle) for the business• Support strategic freight cost initiatives and financial decisions• Calculate & analyze freight metrics; support monthly Score Card metric reporting• Partner with Transplace/EnVista and other logistics providers to drive data transparency and identify cost out opportunities • Monitor and analyze logistics costs; partner with regional operational managers to drive VCP/BCP/DMP• Prepare required accruals and clearing of FRIR accounts• Respond to client ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible mannerQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalentMinimum 5 years'' experience in a Finance/Accounting analyst roleSAP and Tableau experience Desired Characteristics:Supply Chain finance experience with focus on Logistics''Proficiency in Excel & OfficeStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex financial issuesProven excellent analytical abilities• Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsProven ability to lead and execute
