Learn more about the many benefits of PET bottles here. *with existing technologies including chemical recycling Position Overview: Functions as a key business partner and member of the plant leadership team supporting a C1 and C3 Plant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. At the local level, plans, organizes and manages the administration of all Amcor Rigid Packaging human resources policies, procedures and programs regarding recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, health and safety, employee relations, engagement and retention necessary to carry out company and plant objectives. Provides guidance to Plant Manager, functional managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of established human resources policies to create a climate of trust and open communication. Manages onsite Human Resources Generalist and legal compliance in collaboration with plant and corporate management. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: In collaboration with plant management and business unit leadership, is responsible at the plant level for management of all HR policies and practices; coaches and provides guidance to all levels of co-workers at their plant, specifically (but not limited to) HR programs and Employee Relations issues Cultivates an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical behavior Plans and implements recruitment and selection efforts; educates hiring managers about the selection process; takes proactive measures to ensure a diverse workforce Works closely with the management team to maintain a skilled workforce while supporting headcount/budget requirements; manages the contingent workforce through temporary agencies Manages compensation programs that are fair and equitable through job evaluation, wage and hour regulations, and participation in local and regional wage surveys; reviews and recommends Pay for Performance and Skill Based Pay to ensure equity and consistency Oversees learning and development activities; recommends and conducts appropriate training and development (Levels program; technical training; leadership training) Responsible for talent management, including on-boarding, conducting annual Talent Reviews, building and monitoring Operations Bench, and knowledge transfer; reviews all promotions and job changes for employee development Ensures performance management is fair, equitable and timely; supports management in addressing performance issues on a daily basis Addresses all employee relations issues and investigates employee issues and complaints, provides feedback and ensures actions are taken to prevent future issues Administers benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, wellness, life insurance, 401(k), short term disability, long term disability, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and others Responsible for accurate processing of payroll. Audit time records and resolves any discrepancies; track holiday and vacation accruals; maintains payroll records/reports Work closely with Plant Manager to ensure a "no injuries" safety culture; manages workers'' compensation claims Conducts Global Engagement Survey and ensures appropriate action plans are developed and implemented; ensures employee feedback meetings are conducted Develops and maintains plant job descriptions; maintains training matrix and training records to ensure compliance with training requirements and audits Ensures employee relations activities occur (such as safety events, picnics, newsletters, service awards, employee recognition, and social responsibility functions); actively participates in the planning and organizing Ensures full compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and governmental regulations and makes recommendations to mitigate risk Maintains open communication with all employees to obtain an accurate sense of employee morale Travel 10% Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree required; major in Human Resources Management preferred Nationally recognized Human Resources Certificate preferred (i.e. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) Five years HR generalist experience preferred in a manufacturing environment Ability to take initiative and work independently with little to no direct supervision Ability to prioritize work; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; set goals and meet deadline while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals Demonstrate analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities Ability to deal with difficult individuals/situations while maintaining composure, using good judgment and fairness at all levels of the organization Ability to function as a contributing member and leader of various work teams and demonstrate commitment and sensitivity to diversity issues Competencies: Amcor Leadership Framework Competencies Core Competencies: Customer Focus Learning on the Fly Interpersonal Savvy Drive for Results 3-5 Applicable ALF Competencies: Building Effective Teams Managerial Courage Motivating Others Managing Diversity Choose an item.
