Position Summary: The Production Control & Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring operating policies and procedures for managing all phases of customer service, production scheduling/control and inventory control by applying lean methodologies. Manages improvements through the use of SAP. Manages warehouse functions, including shipping/receiving and transportation functions including outside carriers. Responsibilities: Ensure customer satisfaction: implement material and information flow processes that anticipate customer requirements and maintain good relationships. Support the launch of new programs / products. Ensure adequate staffing, training, and development of team members. Monitor logistics processes. Monitor PC&L performance and implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with other functions (Quality and Operations). Optimize inventory levels, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and drive 100% on time delivery to the customer as well as internally. Work closely with the SAP team and be the interface between SAP and operations. Work closely with the finance team to develop inventory policies and forecasts. Monitors raw material consumption and develops plans to maintain production needs. As a manager, assures all plant safety/accident prevention policies are adhered to. Manages customer service, order entry and delivery. Handles periodic physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods and reconciles actual usage as shown on SAP system. Generates inventory reports to Division as necessary. Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent in business management, engineering or combined experience may be considered. MBA (Preferred). Minimum 5-7 years'' operations experience in a high volume manufacturing environment with experience in the use of lean principles. Proficient SAP, CDM and Microsoft Office experience. Ability to work cross functionally both internally and externally with customers. Strong customer service experience. Ability to quickly analyze problems and provide viable solutions using proven lean methodology. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
