Cook food according to the recipes provided and have a little flexibility with what we call "free choice" meals.Direct patients who assist in preparing and serving meals in culinary groups.Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional plete daily tasks such as plating a meal or preparing options for the line as well as daily and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned by the Culinary Manager.Take inventory of supplies and equipment including ensuring that our "sharps" inventory is maintained every day & reporting to management if there are any missing.Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.Rotating food according to FIFO standards and ensuring that everything is fresh for the patients and staff.Education/Experience/Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required with additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.Two or more years'' experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.Strong communications skills and professional appearance.ServSafe certification is preferred.Schedule Needs:We are hiring for full-time, part-time and as needed.We are in need of a Culinary Team Member from 7 AM-7:30 PM seven days a week and are offering 12, 8 and 4 hour shifts.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
