Senior Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Ballard Spahr LLP a national law firm with over 600 lawyers in 15 offices across the country is seeking a self-motivated professional to assist the Firm Accounting team in all areas including, but not limited to escrow transactions, treasury, bank reconciliations and month-end close. Our Senior Staff Accountant will use analytical and reconciliation skills to identify issues, ensure all assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and in a timely fashion and work well within a team oriented environment. The selected individual will work on-site on occasion on an as-needed basis. Excellent communication skills, strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills; a keen attention to detail and accuracy; and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will possess the following: A college degree in accounting and a minimum of five years of experience as a staff accountant, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Access and Word and very comfortable with systems in general Experience with 3E a plus Must be willing to accept responsibilities that may demand a commitment of more than 40 hours per week, particularly in peak seasons.
