Job Description Eurofins Environment Testing Americais searching for a System Administrator to report to our iNDSC IT Infrastructure group in Denver, CO. This will be a remote position. The System Administrator is responsible to maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, software and hardware. Own projects, solutions and key responsibilities within larger business initiatives. Nurture dependable IT Infrastructure and networking that is always up and running. Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities and achievements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, printer services, research event log warnings and errors and resource monitoring, ensuring system component work together seamlessly. • Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test and maintain new servers as needed. • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting identify root cause and provide technical support when needed. • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups. • Must have the technical and problem-solving capability to support a variety of technologies including: o Microsoft Windows Server environments o Citrix XenApp and Virtual applications o Anti-Virus and other desktop related applications o Provide on-call or off-hours support and participate in monthly maintenance activities Assist in the design and implementation of company-wide IT projects To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present to a target audience Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary; we operate in a 24x7x365 environment. Strong troubleshooting skills of very complex systems Excellent problem-solving skills in resolving issues with complex systems. Good end user presentation skills. Able to communicate technical information to users in a non-technical manner. Ability to travelPosition is remote, full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime and abilityto work flexible hours described above, as needed.
