The Territory Manager works closely with assigned site operators to implement corporate brand strategy and manage the financial performance to ensure maximum sales and profitability to the Company. Serves as both a facilitator and an enabler to ensure compliance with all internal and external Company standards, policies, procedures, and in managing operator relationships. Ensures successful delivery of all customer value proposition elements within an assignment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs monthly and yearly analysis of profit and loss reporting to maximize sales growth and profitability and to optimize operating costs. Ensures the achievement of brand standard requirements by performing evaluations of brand adherence, tracking results and recommending improvements. Acts as relationship manager between the Company and MSO operators / retailers. Maintains good working relationships with operators. Works collaboratively to resolve discrepancies and/or disagreements regarding brand representation, operating processes, and procedures. Understands, reviews, and explains contracts to operators / retailers, as required. Works to maintain dealer loyalty. Acts as a liaison with internal Retail support staff as needed to accomplish goals and objectives. Prepares management reports, forecasts, analysis as needed to manage the business Assists the manager with input for budgeting and forecasting as needed. Provide market intelligence to benefit internal business partners including information that impacts daily pricing decisions, fuel audits, competitive pricing trends, competitor outages, terminal problems, supply conditions, forecast adjustments and any other business-related items. Evaluate market dynamics and niches seeking profit opportunities with new and existing customers through pricing programs and contracts to enhance MPC''s overall corporate profitability. Maintain a broad understanding of industry issues, government regulation, economic conditions, business outlooks, commercial and consumer needs, and MPC competitive strengths and weaknesses by market. Actively participate in industry associations and conferences. Maintain the highest level of ethical conduct, professional standards and practices within the industry. Maintain the highest level of work practices in meeting Health, Environment & Safety goals and requirements. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor''s degree in Marketing, Finance, or other business-related function is required. Four to ten years of commercial experience is preferred, particularly in the Marketing, Supply, or Supply Chain organizations. This position will experience 20-25% travel.
