Lab Technician

Description: The schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm with a 1/2 hour lunch This is a temp to perm position based on the worker''s performance after 9-months S-W gives the candidate a voucher to purchase safety shoes all other PPE is given to the worker, Candidates need above-average typing, computer, and Excel skills are a must for this position. They will work in spreadsheets entering data and produce reports. Also, using S-W-specific software. Job Duties: Performs laboratory tests on paints and painted metal materials using conventional and computerized machines and work aids. Performs laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards. Determines chemical and physical characteristics or composition. Sets up, readjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments. Usual requirement is two years of post secondary education in field of specialty; will consider accepting equivalent education and experience combined.
