Position Summary: This position provides engineering and technical support for plants and corporate programs, encompassing: productivity improvements, standardization of process and manufacturing methods, business expansion of new product lines, installation and start up of new equipment and introduction to new products. This position supports plants in Elk Grove Village, IL, Valparaiso, IN, and 3 locations across Canada. Up to 75% travel required. Key project assignments may include: cycle time reduction programs process control programs equipment upgrade programs material optimization programs new product implementation programs Principal Accountabilities assist in SPC systems development and implementation assist in developing and updating preventative maintenance of molds and machines product and process improvement provide ongoing technical support to plant operations assist in maximizing machine performance, safety and quality evaluate and implement material advances assist in component evaluation develop standard operating procedures for molding machines and related equipment new mold and equipment installations Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in mechanical/plastic engineering and/or 5+ years of experience in the plastics industry Extensive knowledge of the molding process, molding equipment, molding materials and mold tooling Project management expertise in process improvement and innovation principles Ability to react to situations in a timely manner and be flexible with people and operational assets Ability to anticipate operational problems and act on those intuitions EOE LI-NP1Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in mechanical/plastic engineering and/or 5+ years of experience in the plastics industry Extensive knowledge of the molding process, molding equipment, molding materials and mold tooling Project management expertise in process improvement and innovation principles Ability to react to situations in a timely manner and be flexible with people and operational assets Ability to anticipate operational problems and act on those intuitions EOE LI-NP1
