Primary Purpose: Under direction of the Project Manager or Principal Auditor, plan audits, determine scope and develop project specific risk and controls matrices. Perform walkthroughs, design effectiveness assessments and operational effectiveness testing, document issues for inclusion in formal audit reports, and follow-up with management on agreed corrective actions. Work in teams on technology and integrated business audits, and where assigned, to supervise junior members of staff. As a Senior IT Auditor in Audit Services, you will do that and more. * Become a trusted risk and controls advisor to the business through performing audits, advisories and consultancy projects, identifying business control issues for remediation and seeking value-add improvement opportunities. * Identify IT and cybersecurity risk and propose effective and efficient remediation activities to business management. * Determines audit objectives and scope of assigned audits, as directed by the IT Audit Manager and Principal IT Auditor. * May take a lead on specific audit projects. * Assesses risk, develops audit testing procedures, and reviews testing procedures developed by other team members. * Conducts audit testing and effectively documents results ensuring that conclusions, observations, and recommendations are appropriately supported. * Assists in recommending changes to client control processes and negotiating solutions, improvement opportunities, and management corrective actions. * Assist in the development and training of staff auditors. * Team player willing to give and receive positive and constructive feedback. * Represent the department as a business partner that adds value across all Sempra activities. * Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). Education: * Bachelor''s Degree in any subject, or equivalent experience required. Experience: * 5 years audit, risk and controls, IT, cybersecurity, or information security experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire. * Ability to travel locally (San Diego and Los Angeles) 10-15%, nationally, and potentially international (Latin America). * Fluent business Spanish is preferred, but not required. Licenses and Certifications: * CISA required. * Other professional certification (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CIA.) a plus. * Valid California Driver''s License required.
