Senior Engineering Technician

The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $360M to date.Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced technician to fabricate and assemble prototypes for our grid-scale batteries. This role is embedded directly in the engineering team and will support various mechanical engineering efforts. A successful candidate can work well independently with limited instruction and can give design feedback and suggestions to engineers. The ideal candidate has very strong mechanical intuition, understands prototyping, and can make build adjustments as needed to provide high quality prototypes.What You''ll Do:Use shop tools (sheet metal brake, 3D printers, manual mill, etc) to build and assemble prototypes and one-offs as specified by engineers Fabricate and maintain build or test related infrastructure and safety systems as specified by designs and schematicsBasic design tasks (ex. fabricate an enclosure) with only high level instruction from engineersParticipate in design reviews and give design feedback to engineersFacilitate installation and assembly of new equipmentWhat You''ll Bring:Minimum 5+ years experience as a technician or hands on role, ideally 2-3 years in a startup environmentExperience working with plastics, plumbing, and sheet metalCan do basic wiring and sensor installation from simple schematicsComfortable using sensors & data acquisition systems (ex.
