They must demonstrate a solid background in agency financial systems, reporting, and financial analysis. Would be responsible for handling/supervising cost accounting, client billing, accounts payable, general accounting functions, and providing other office support as needed. The Assistant Controller is viewed as a team member and assists management in the daily processing of company business internally and externally. It''s the Assistant Controller''s responsibility to obtain knowledge of assigned client billing requirements, system capabilities, and procedures in order to properly complete the work in a collaborative manner.Responsibilities:Works closely with SVP of Accounting and CFO on developing, implementing, and monitoring accounting procedures.Responsible for hours reporting and disbursement. In addition, provide timekeeping training to all team members.Become the in-house expert on MediaOcean and the Workflow systems to maximize the role.Manage monthly close process.Handles reporting, billing, and accounts payables and receivables processes, accurately and on a timely basis.Oversee the check run process.Processes journal entries as needed.Addresses client related billing issues with appropriate Brand Management Director or team members.Provides SVP and CFO with reporting data or analysis as requested.Is knowledgeable of who clients are and their compensation structures.Oversee posting of daily cash terface with SVP and CFO and other team members and provides updates as terface with external auditors regularly for periodic reviews and annual audits. Prepare all audit schedules as prescribed by outside auditors; review books and records with outside audit team; act as liaison with outside auditors.Timely preparation of all tax returns and payment of all corporate taxes and the handling of audits by Federal and State taxing authorities.Maintain all accounting records and security in accordance with established retention and disposal procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor''s Degree in accounting5+ years of related experienceExperience in MediaOcean and Admation a strong plusAdvertising industry experience a plusAbility to use discretion when handling confidential and sensitive mattersStrong analytical, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlinesAbility to adjust to a constantly changing environment and prioritiesStrong knowledge of accounting practices and proceduresExtreme attention to detailInterested in hearing more?
