Job Description

Responsible for the administration and support for hardware and operational systems. Develop, define and implement system scope requirements and objectives to improve and enhance supported hardware and core systems. Works on all hardware and/or system applications and programming. Coordinate with business users and technical teams to maintain optimum availability and stability of systems and hardware across multiple environments. Enhancing knowledge, understanding of system capabilities and subject matter expertise. Devise and modify procedures to solve complex system problems and develop detailed supporting documentation. Conduct staff training including presentations and demonstrations.Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Enhancing knowledge in performing advanced functional/technical analysis, root cause analysis, server configuration and testing on hardware Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure optimization, stability, recoverability and security for supported systems Act as senior resource for escalated support providing individual training and guidance on hardware and core systems Enhancing skills in configuration andor script programming to automate system functions Schedule and perform complete hardware installations, upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. This includes planning, testing and coordination of internal and external resources. Design, install, configure, maintain and perform system testing related to supported hardware, software, and related utilities. Assist in leading system projects and coordinate with outsourced partners where needed Independently administer and manage supported systems; configure and maintain monitoring systems to support SLA metrics. Seek higher learning opportunities to ensure thorough understanding of the current, and future, capabilities of all supported systems Research and recommend hardware and software solutions Collaborate and communicate with all levels of internal and external resources Identify, develop and maintain system documentation in accordance with departmental standards Fulfill department requirements in terms of providing work coverage during system upgrades and outages or as business needs require Demonstrate flexibility and do what''s needed to meet and/or exceed customer expectations Follows industry reference architectures and best practices in designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure operations systems/technologies Follows, performs, and completes required change request processes and documentation Participates in P1 leadership escalation management as neededOther duties as assignedRole-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills: Oil and Gas industry experience preferred Experience with design, implementation, and operational health of Microsoft 365 services with hands-on in Exchange On-prem and Online, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, Active Directory, Azure AD and AD Connect, Intune, Defender and Endpoint manager. Diverse, multi discipline experience, collaborating with other IT teams in different areas (e.g. networks, messaging, desktop management, storage, application support etc.) with proven track record of managing operations including management of SLAs, developing strategies, etc. Monitoring M365 health alerts, service health response plan, license management, reports including Power BI, review security / compliance needs and usage metrics. Experience with email operations in a hybrid environment, mail routing, data migration with or without third party tools, configuring data archival and retention needs. Identity protection and secure access for guest and external users. Manage and expand SSO using Azure AD or other identity management products, application proxy, and application registration. Management and governance of SharePoint Online, MS Teams, and Power Platform infrastructure. Experience with Information protection tools, data classification labels, label alerts and analytics, IRM for workloads and DLP a plus Research new and upcoming technical hardware and software solutions and participate in a program of proactive system administration; including but not limited to a system of updates, patches and fixes, system enhancements, and log monitoring, and anti-virus management. Strong communication and documentation skills Flexible and able to adapt to changing environment Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independentlyMust be a team player, reliable and punctualEducation:Associates or Bachelor''s degree in related field preferredTypical Experience:Minimum of 5 years related experienceSalary Range: $92,000-$132,250 (TBD based on experience level) plus annual discretionary bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401k and PTO.SM Energy requires that all new hires be fully vaccinated by their employment start date as a condition of employment.
