The scheduler will be responsible for the commercial scheduling of petcoke and will contribute to the commercial value chain by managing logistical operations for petcoke. The successful candidate will have direct interaction with a wide array of organizations within MPC, and conduct business operations with terminals, logistics providers, refineries and external business partners. The focus will be primarily on the East region, but may include some responsibilities across the entire system. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player who is organized, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial. Responsibilities: Schedule petcoke movements via truck, rail, barge and vessel to support refinery needs and sales obligations. Provide timely and accurate inventory position information to traders Monitor inventories on a daily basis to ensure that inventory levels remain within targets. Continuously seek out opportunities to optimize logistics operations. Ensure operational data is accurately captured and recorded. Identify and communicate to the team commercial and operational optimization opportunities Work with key stakeholders to ensure operations are at all times in full compliance with applicable rules and regulations Develop, maintain and grow customer relationships with internal and external business partners. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum bachelor''s degree in a related field is required Five or more years of experience in crude/products scheduling, analysis, or commercial role preferred.
