The Educator is assigned specific teaching responsibilities for regularly scheduled required classes, in addition to assessing, developing, and implementing education for needs of individual units in assigned areas.QualificationsRequired Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing - BSN required.Required Licensure and Certifications: Active RN license in Tennessee. BCLS provider certification.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Neuro/Ortho experience required. Three years of experience developing curriculum incorporating simulation, case studies, lectures, etc. based on needs assessments and learners'' knowledge and skill base. Three years of experience in trending data and writing and implementing action plans. Experience in selection of equipment and supplies to be used in the orientation, onboarding, and education of RNs. Experience in evaluating nursing competency. Use of general patient care and communication equipment. Use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective conflict management techniques. Ability to adapt to changes in health care technology. Use of simulation as a teaching technique and ability to operate simulation equipment. Ability to organize varying schedules and multiple resources.PREFERRED Qualifications: Neuro RN certification preferred. BCLS instructor certification. ACLS provider certification. ACLS instructor certification. PALS provider certification. PALS instructor certification.
