You will help to set business strategy in line with wider division and product group strategies.Reporting to the US Region Controller, you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.Your responsibilitiesBusiness Performance: Monitors all financial aspects of the manufacturing and related costs, product costing, inventory, and other operational KPI''s while providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifies issues and advises management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Responsible to drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization and capital efficiencyFinancial Reporting: Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensures high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules. Provides monthly forecasts and annual budgets based on business guidance and backup. Enforcement of country and BU specific finance directives and instructions, enforcement of Group Accounting and Reporting GuidelinesInternal Controls and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies. Taking the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance. Share functional best practices and lessons learned across the ABB organization. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosuresOHS and Integrity: Supports ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance. Personally, adheres to a highly ethical environment and lives the ABB values and Group standardsPeople/Staffing leadership and development: Ensure that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, experienced and understands his/her role in driving the strategy and providing financial transparency. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policiesRisk management: Assesses business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance in own area of responsibility.
