The role reports to the Quality Manager and is located in Ormond Beach, Florida. As a Quality Technician (Craft Worker) - 1st Shift, you will be responsible for performing raw material, product and process measurements, using various types of equipment to ensure all meet specifications. Will create and maintain reports, logs and presentations. Expected to clean, maintain and calibrate measuring and test equipment. Expected to be familiar with a variety of standard quality assurance concepts and practices. Contributes to a team-structured environment, and plays a key role in Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis projects. Continuous Improvement projects are supported by working with engineers, team leads and supervisors. Duties are accomplished with minimal assistance and supervision. Your responsibilitiesFollows Safe Work practices and strive to improve the safety of the work environmentInterprets product drawings and specifications, both customer''s & T&B''sConducts and reports product and process auditsMaintains logs, generates reports and maintains Process Quality Plan documentationDetermines acceptability of reworked productSupports Corrective Action projectsDemonstrates proficiency in mathematical and statistical functions related to these skillsApplies Advanced Product Quality Planning practices, creating Process Flows, PFMEAs and Control PlansCommunicates effectively with all levels of management, suppliers, customers and team membersInterprets industry specifications and regulations related to product design and functionCompletes all agreed upon yearly objectivesSeeks professional growth through education and trainingCompletes all required Safety and Skills Training in a timely mannerAdditional duties as assignedYour backgroundHigh School diploma required and minimum 3 to 5 years quality experience in manufacturing2 years college degree in a technical field preferredNationally recognized Quality-related training preferredASQ Quality Technician Certification required within 1 yearBlueprint reading, interpretationProficient in general office programs including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookKnowledge of Problem Solving basics, i.e. Pareto charting, Fishbone diagram, 5Y, Correlation Statistics, etc.Knowledge of general Quality Management Systems; ISO9001, AS9001, etc.Understanding of Attribute and Variable Sampling Plans such as ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 & Z1.9Knowledge of MRP systems such as: LX, SAPBasic normal distribution statistics; capable of applying SPCAbility to work variable schedule with overtime as neededCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USMore about usWe look forward to receiving your application.
