Packaging Supervisor

Position OverviewThe Packaging Supervisor is an employee of the company with supervisor''s authority. The Packaging Supervisor oversees all of the packaging production personnel. Verifies that line personnel are adhering to GMP''s and defined procedures. 4. Major Responsibilities4.1. Lead by example. Encourage and support Team.4.2. Oversee the packaging of products produced per customer or internal specs.4.3. Oversee the quality of finished product as well as finished packaging. 4.4. Oversee the development of all shift employees.4.5. Oversee necessary changes to employees and equipment to achieve Racine Danish Kringles efficiency standards. 4.6. Oversee necessary changes to employees and equipment to achieve Racine Danish Kringles quality standards. 4.7. Make sure that all cleaning is meeting Racine Danish Kringles standards through swab testing and/or follow up inspections.4.8. Make sure that all necessary data is being recorded on required intervals.4.9. Make sure that general housekeeping duties are being done and comply with the standards of food safety.4.10. Make sure that equipment is being maintained by doing general inspections of equipment, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting, and reporting any repair needs to maintenance.5. Food and Personnel Safety Related Job Duties5.1. To follow/support all Racine Danish Kringles food safety procedures given at annual trainings.5.2. To follow/support all Racine Danish Kringles personnel safety procedures given at annual trainings.5.3. You must alert maintenance if you find any mechanical or unsafe condition.5.4. Supervision of sanitation activities in packaging.5.5. Responsible for assuring lots and amounts of materials are properly recorded.5.6. Responsible for operation and checks of metal detector (CCP1) and correct labeling (CCP2).5.7. You must notify QA and Management of any food safety issues or concerns.6. Act as a backup to the following titles/roles in case of absence6.1. Assigned by Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager.7. Positions acting as backup to this role in case of absence7.1.
